This course is designed to help students gain the qualifications and practical understanding required for a career in the Travel and Tourism Sector. 

The course will cover:

  • Customer service
  • Displaying products and services
  • Planning a trip to a visitor attraction
  • UK travel destinations
  • Recommending a package holiday
  • Schedule, charter and low-cost airlines
  • The role of overseas resort representative
  • The role of air cabin crew
  • Travel and Tourism group project
  • Planning for a job.
  • Continuous assessment
  • Internal tests
  • Portfolio building
  • GCSE/ functional skills maths & English exams (where applicable).
  • Level 2 Airport Operations
  • Employment
  • Apprenticeships.
Level 1 – 3 x GCSES at grades E or level 2/3 (including English and Maths)

Study Programme


All students at Oldham College will participate in a personalised study programme that will maximise your potential and enable you to progress onto employment, apprenticeships or higher education.

  • Study a core qualification in a vocational discipline and continue to develop your English and Maths skills through functional skills, GCSE resits and the option of Level 3 qualifications
