Do you see yourself as a presenter, director, camera operator, editor, animator, teacher, photographer or journalist, or working in any industry that requires strong communication skills, confidence, creative thinking and entrepreneurship? If so, this could be the course for you. During your studies you will work in our specialist radio, animation, editing and TV studios, participating in regular skills and technique classes, master-classes, enrichment, competitions and work experience.

Your studies will include:

  • Journalism.
English and maths will also be included within the content of the course. 

You will be assessed through practical assignments and live projects, for example productions, films, documentaries and presentations.

The media team have excellent industry links and through these we offer all students the opportunities to work with specialists.

Work with media companies and local radio stations to create:

  • Adverts
  • Music videos
  • Live web streams
  • Promotional videos
  • Content for live shows.

  • Study a core qualification in a vocational discipline and continue to develop your English and Maths skills through functional skills, GCSE resits and the option of Level 3 qualifications
