Fine Art

Our Fine Art Course course allows you to develop a wide range of Drawing, 2D and 3D skills preparing you for a career in a creative industry as an artist, illustrator or further roles in the creative industry.

This course will build your skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, 3D design and Photoshop, you will also develop employability skills such as communication, project management and resilience. 

  • Complete live project work for clients.
  • Develop skills in visual language, research, drawing and materials.
  • Use Adobe Creative programs such as Photoshop and illustrator.
  • Explore the industry and identify a direction and pathway in the Creative Industry.
  • Complete a final major project working independently and exhibit your art work in a variety of locations.

This course includes the opportunity to achieve additional professional qualifications in Adobe ACA. Private training providers often charge £1000 + for these courses.

We have links with businesses in the region who welcome student collaborations, and work placements. Our Fine Art students work in teams for clients creating art work for a variety of scenarios.

A portfolio or sketchbook is recommended for your interview but not essential.

  • Games Design Level 2 Diploma UAL.
All full time courses for home students aged 16 – 18 years are free. For 19+ full time course fees please contact us on 0161 785 4000.

Study Programme


All students at Oldham College will participate in a personalised study programme that will maximise your potential and enable you to progress onto employment, apprenticeships or higher education.
