Learning Resources

We have great facilities across the campus to support your learning with three Learning Centres offering resources online and in print to enhance your educational experience.

There are over 260 computers and laptops on site, plus excellent e-resources to support your learning. Our learning centres and library staff are on hand to help guide you to the right resource including:

  • Well-equipped study space
  • Mobile friendly resources which can be accessed anywhere
  • Free Wi-Fi across the campus
  • Book computers in advance online
  • Supported access to Moodle, our virtual learning environment, giving individuals access to their course materials and much more
  • Early morning, daytime and evening opening times - we are open whenever the college is open
  • A library of 15,000 books, plus remote services such as a collection of 3,000 electronic books and subject specific electronic resources
  • Self-issue access to laptops and tablet PCs
  • Study skills support
  • A friendly and supportive working environment for students and staff

Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle)

All students have the opportunity to utilise our web-based learning resources (Moodle) to support study with interactive and visual learning activities. Your progress is easily accessible through our online web system.

At Oldham College there are three Learning Resource Centres (LRCs) which are open to all students:
