The Student Services team are Matrix accredited for Information, Advice and Guidance services and can provide information, advice and guidance on:

  • Applications & enrolment
  • Funding & finance for study
  • Careers advice
  • Higher education & UCAS
  • Complaint handling
  • Referrals to support services such as – mentoring, counselling

Student Mentors

The College offers a confidential support service, where no appointment is needed so feel free to just drop in.

If you have a problem that is affecting your studies, whether college related or personal, you can talk in confidence to one of our highly trained team.

In addition to our Student Mentors service a free and confidential counselling service is also available to all students. To make an appointment with the Student Mentors call 0161 785 4202

Additional Learning Support (ALS)

We have a range of professional staff, trained and experienced in supporting people with learning difficulties and/ or disabilities, as well as working with other professionals to provide the most effective support.

This support is provided for a range of additional needs including; autism, ADD/ ADHD, dyslexia, mental health problems and maths and English difficulties.

Did you know?

The college employs five dyslexia specialist teachers. We can show you how to use your SMART phone to help you take notes in class.
