An Oldham College learner was recently selected to display their artwork at an exhibition in London.
Ellie Rose Grayson, who has just completed a Level 3 in Fine Art, was chosen by University of the Arts London (UAL) to showcase her final piece at their annual exhibition.
UAL are the awarding body of the Fine Art course, and Origins Creatives 2024 is a celebration of student achievements across the country.
The exhibition ran from 17-20 July at the Mall Galleries in London.
Luke McDaid Barraclough, Ellie’s tutor, said:
“I am incredibly proud of Ellie having her work selected for the exhibition.
“Her hard work and dedication to improve throughout her time in College was admirable, and has resulted in the creation of varied and interesting artwork. The piece selected is a perfect example of that: it combines the skills that Ellie has learned and developed on her course with the next steps that she has chosen to take into architecture.
“Wherever she ends up in the future, her work ethic and creative skills will make sure she always stands out from the crowd.”
Ellie’s work also won a staff nomination and the visitors’ vote award from Oldham College’s recent end-of-year Creative exhibition.
