Autumn Term at Oldham College ends on Friday 17th December 2021, and we’re looking forward to seeing you all return here safe, healthy and well in 2022.
During the festive season, we’re urging all our learners to follow the latest Government guidance – which may change during this time – to stop the spread of COVID-19, and especially the new Omicron variant.
As part of that, we’re advising you to continue taking regular Lateral Flow tests during the holidays.
YOU must also test yourself using a Lateral Flow kit either the day before you are due to return to Oldham College – or on the morning that you come back – in January.
The test result must be negative for you attend.
Remember that you should also NOT attend any of our sites at any time if you have any COVID-19 symptoms. Doing this puts other people at risk, so please do not take any chances.
If you get a positive Lateral Flow test result – or have COVID-19 symptoms – you should get a PCR test at a symptomatic test centre ASAP, follow the latest Government isolation guidelines (currently 10 days) and keep your tutor informed. You should only return to site if your PCR test returns a negative result.
REMEMBER – All learners can still pick up free Lateral Flow kits before the end of term from either:
▲ Reception at Campus Central
▲ The Safety Engagement Team office on the Ground Floor of the Health & Life Sciences Centre.
PLEASE continue to follow the latest guidance – and have a safe, healthy and Happy Christmas & New Year.
