Pre Degree Foundation Art & Design

Start Dates: The course starts the week starting 1st September 2025 and finishes on the 3rd July 2026.

Attendance: This is a full time course. You will have 11 hours taught classes and will be expected to complete at least 5 self study hours. You will also take part in visits to Galleries, museums and University Open days.

What knowledge and skills will I gain?

This is for 18 Yrs students who are preparing to study for higher Education but need to complete a course to support their UCAS application.

Entry requirements

You should have GCSE English at grade C/4 and advanced study at level 3/A Level Creative qualification However, if you do not have these traditional level 3 Art and design qualifications but you do have a portfolio of art and design work, you can show this to our tutors at interview, along with examples of some written work. No. Students enrol on this course from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Will I have to pay for the course?

Funding is available for this course dependent upon your circumstances.

How much will it cost?

The course fees are £5,421 if you are not eligible for funding. Students are eligible to apply to the Student Loans Company for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover tuition fees. Learners can also apply for our bursary to help towards costs including travel, books and meals.
