Dental Nursing Diploma Level 3

Start Dates:

You can enrol on this course at any time in the year.  Typically, it takes 18-24 months to achieve this diploma.

Attendance:

You will attend classes at college for 3 hours per week.  There will also be 1:1 learning and assessment in your workplace.  You will need to be working chairside with the dentist so that the mandatory observations of practice can take place.

What knowledge and skills will I gain?

This course is for adults working in the dental team who are looking to upskill and progress to become a registered dental nurse but do not yet have the level 3 diploma.


Entry requirements

You must be employed in a Dental Nurse role and be working to support the dentist chairside.   In order for you to undertake this course your employer must agree to support you throughout this diploma and agree for the college team to complete your assessments in the workplace.

Will I have to pay for the course?

You may be eligible access adult skills funding to complete this course.  If you do not meet those criteria you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan or you can pay full cost.


How much will it cost?

You may be eligible to access funding for this qualification but this is dependent on a range of eligibility factors.  The enrolment team will work through these with you.  It costs £2882.00. You may be able to apply to the Student Loans Company for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover tuition fees if they are not eligible for funding.

Additionally, you may be eligible for our bursary to help towards costs so that you can commence and complete learning; including childcare, travel, books and meals.
