The Level 3 Certificate in Counselling is designed for those seeking progression to become a qualified professional counsellor or for those who wish to acquire greater counselling skills for use as part of their job role. The purpose of this qualification is to provide you with a useful vocational progression route into further study and is not a license to practice.
The course will provide learners with more in-depth knowledge of the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work, and the approaches that underpin the use of these skills. The qualification consists of five units including working ethically with counselling skills, counselling skills and diversity and counselling skills and personal development.
This is fully coursework based and you will submit a portfolio to evidence all assessment criteria.
To be eligible for this course you will need to have previously completed a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Concepts.
Prospective learners should be aware that the course requires a good standard of English skills which are to be demonstrated in substantial coursework. There are also experiential learning and self-awareness exercises which will be demanding of yourself in interaction with others.
