After school I wanted to get straight into working life, and didn’t like the idea of going back into a classroom full-time, so an apprenticeship was the perfect choice for me.
As well as learning the trade – the practical side of how to cut hair, and the theory that goes with it – I have enjoyed making friends with the other apprentices, and with clients. My tutor Chelsea has also been very supportive.
Once I’ve finished my apprenticeship, I’ll work full-time at my current employer Howards Barber Shop. In the future I would also like to complete a Personal Training course, and would definitely come back to Oldham College to do this.
