Governor

Laura Windsor-Welsh was educated at the Blue Coat School Oldham and then went on to study Theology and Applied Social Science at the University College of Ripon and York St John. Laura also studied at Huddersfield University gaining a post grad qualification in Youth and Community Studies. Laura is the Oldham Director for the Local Infrastructure Organisation and Charity, Action Together and has 26 years’ experience working within the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise Sector in Oldham, the last 10 years with Action Together and previously with Mahdlo Youth Zone and Positive Steps. Laura is driven by social justice and is passionate about tackling inequalities, community wealth building and shifting power into communities.
