OC learners’ success was recently celebrated at the EY Foundation Smart Futures Graduation Event.
Smart Futures is an internship programme delivered by EY Foundation, a member firm of global professional services partnership Ernst & Young. The programme offers paid work experience, employability skills training and mentoring to the next generation of professionals.
This year, 11 of our T Level Business Support, T Level Investment and Asset Management and Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business with Marketing learners took part. Their efforts were rewarded earlier this month with an inspiring Graduation Event to mark the end of this fantastic opportunity.
Of the 19 learners celebrated at the event, from providers across Greater Manchester, six of our learners took home awards.
Congratulations to:
“My experience at EY was phenomenal. I learned a lot, such as how to network effectively, and the experience gave me a taste of the environment I would like to work in,” says Charlie, Student of the Programme award winner.
Rising Star award winner Tanisha “learned how to communicate effectively in situations involving conflicting opinions,” while T Level Business learner Hibba says: “At EY, I learned how fast-paced working is, and how to manage it.”
Mike Jackson-Leafield, Programme Leader Business & Enterprise, says:
“Our Oldham College learners thrived during the internship experience, showing that the skills and professional behaviours we instil in them during their time with us make them shine when they engage with our employer partners.”
Congratulations to all learners who took part in Smart Futures, for your dedication and focus towards your future careers!
