National and regional figures in careers education visited Oldham College yesterday (17 October) to see the work we do with learners first-hand.
John Yarham, Deputy CEO of the Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC), was accompanied by Michaela Andrew, Deputy Lead of GM Careers Hub, and Hazel Kindley, GMCA Career & Enterprise Coordinator.
The visitors took a tour of campus with Simon Jordan, Principal, on which they saw learners in the Health & Life Sciences Centre in action.
They were also given an overview of our careers programme, saw our new T Level facilities in the Business Centre and the Construction Centre, and spoke to learners about their journeys and careers experiences in their time at Oldham College.
They also dropped in on an online CPD session, and had important discussions with our staff about the latest annual CEC Review, plus new GM plans and tools in the Careers Hub.
