Teaching for Distinction Conference

Oldham College has designed, developed and delivered a CPD programme for their teaching staff. Join us on Friday 24th May to learn more about the programme, how it was received and the results direct from tutors.

The Teaching for Distinction programme is designed to support tutors to develop their knowledge of elements of effective evidence-informed teaching, that is required to secure excellence in their practice. This enables all tutors to lead their learners towards excellence in their learning, personal development and qualification outcomes.

In January Ofsted published a positive report of its findings at Oldham College, following a full inspection in December. The college is judged to be a “good” college overall, with a clean sweep of “good” grades, in all categories.

What can you expect from the session?

  • An introduction to Oldham College and how we introduced Teaching for Distinction
  • Overview of Teaching for Distinction from
    Tom Sherrington
  • How Oldham College implemented the programme
  • Hear from Head of Faculties and assessors on the impact
